Safety Notes
Video chat is personal by nature — that's what makes it good. These notes are here so it stays comfortable too. Nothing below is a marketing promise; it's how the product works and what you can do with it.
Every call on ComeetCam is one-on-one, and either person can end it at any moment, for any reason, without explanation. Not feeling it? Leave. That's not rude — the format expects it, and the other person has the same button you do. A conversation you can walk out of is a conversation you can relax in.
ComeetCam runs in your browser, and your browser is the gatekeeper. It asks before any site can use your camera or microphone, and it shows you — usually an icon in the address bar — whenever they're active. You can review or revoke that access at any time in your browser's site settings. If you ever want a clean slate, revoke the permission, reload the page, and decide again.
A camera shows more than your face. Before a call, glance at your background: mail with your address, a work badge, a window that gives away your street. In conversation, the same rule applies — full name, workplace, financial details and passwords stay off camera, no matter how good the vibe is. A good conversation never needs your personal information to keep going. If someone pushes for it, that's your cue to leave the call.
Treat any request for money, gift cards or moving to another app in the first minutes of a conversation the way you'd treat it from a stranger anywhere else: don't. Genuine conversations don't start with invoices. End the call and move on — there is always a next conversation.
ComeetCam is for people aged 18 and over. If you're under 18, this service isn't for you. The rules and expectations for everyone else are written down in our community guidelines, and the fine print lives in the terms of service and privacy policy.
You won't find "100% safe" or "completely anonymous" on this site, because no video chat service can honestly promise those things. What we can say is simpler: conversations here are private and one-to-one, you control your camera and microphone through your browser, and you can leave any call at any time. The rest is the same judgement you'd use meeting anyone new — applied to a format that at least lets you see who you're talking to.
Comfortable with all that? Then there's only one thing left to do.
